My 2 year old is a massively picky eater. Dinner was a battle. One day I suggested I would only tell him the next line of a story if he ate a bite. It worked and puzzle plates was born.
Later on, I’d read that studies show the psychology behind picky eating. As Harvard Health writes, “All children are picky eaters at some point or in some way during childhood; it’s part of how they assert their independence”. With Puzzle Plates, your picky eaters control the game & thus actually eat. I can’t say I understood all this when building this, but I think it’s the reason Puzzle Plates work.
