My first step into working on professional identity was to tell my own story. I couldn't find my thread and was struggling to communicate what I could do, so i created a way you could translate where you are spending your time into a new kind of resume. Ultimately, it turned out that (1) those who have opportunity care more about what you accomplished than where you spend your time, (2) hiring managers have limited attention for non-standardized way of storytelling and (3) scaling a business on identity as the value prop is hard (profiles are created & updated as a means to an ends). But these lessons were critical in building We Created It and revamping the LinkedIn profile.
