Signal to noise.
On any given day, I get 1,000 messages across my work email, slack/teams, text messages and more. I predict this number will 5x in two years, driven by generative AI making the decreased cost of sending a personalized message, increased of hybrid work, and the increase of generation Z in the work force (who prefer text communication).
As the world comes to realize our scarcest, most valuable resource is now attention, I believe that their will large movement to “attention first design”. Workflows will change, interfaces will change and habits will change.
An early concept I have been working on is an attention first message client. Today, the email and messenger clients are primarily designed to deliver messages and filter out clear spam. But what if there was a client that was designed around attention?
S/N (Signal to Noise) is designed to know which message to look at right now, how to best summarize messages, and how to seamlessly turn messages into tasks. Its special sauce is that it’s designed around how organizations really work, knowing that people are the key to how information is created, gets processed and turned into action.
